DAObi: Join the Power Struggle

DAObi player guide

So you desire absolute power?

Let us begin. First you will need to login at daobi.org.

First of all you will need to prove you are a human, rather than some sort of spirit of homunculus. You can do this by showing that you have the cognitive and motor skills to set up a Twitter account. Like this.

In the world of DAObi, money is power. This means that you will need to have some before any faction within the Imperial Court will recognise you. You can buy some on Uniswap , or (https://app.uniswap.org/#/pool/85694) or convince another courtier to give you some in exchange for a pledge of your future support (you can find a lot of them here).

Having acquired your DAObi and connected up your wallet, you will then be asked to choose a faction to join and a courtesy name. You can paste the wallet address of the courtier to whom you wish to pledge yourself, or - if you are feeling brave - found a new faction by pasting in your own address.

DAObi registration

You will have to pay a fraction of a cent in gas fees to register your decision. Choices have consequences, and at DAObi we are fond of consequences. Doing this will earn you a precious possession: the seal of a DAObi courtier (it will appear in your wallet as an NFT).

Courtier seal

Now you are in the inner sanctum, you can do various things. You can join a different faction, for a start, though we would advise against doing this unless the leader of said faction has offered appropriate sweetners.

You can also investigate your rivals, as long as you know their addresses. If you would like to know who the éminences grises in the DAObi court are, you can take a look at the Polygonscan records to work out who has the most impressive holdings.

Finally, if you are thoroughly disillusioned with court politics, you may withdraw from your faction and retreat into reclusion (this withdraws your support from any and all factions), or self immolate (leave the DAObi system altogether - if you wish to rejoin from this point on you will need to register afresh).

If you have the political skill to rise to the position of Chancellor, you will gain - for a limited time only - the Chancellor's seal:

You will also gain access to a whole new set of options. Firstly, and most importantly, you will be able to claim the Chancellor's emoluments: $DB 1000 every day. This becomes available to claim exactly 24 hours after the last claim was made, so pay attention.

You will also have access to the principal lever of power in the Imperial court: the capacity to mint new coins. Type in the number of $DB you wish to mint and hit submit.

The coins will not be sent to you, however. They will be made available for purchase via the DAObi liquidity pool on Uniswap. The more you mint, the further the price will drop. An astute Chancellor will be able to reduce the price enough to get a bargain for himself, and use the newly acquired $DB to pay off the followers who installed him in his office in the first place. Be careful though: if you drop the price too far your own holdings will lose their value.

And that's it. It's a simple game. Should be easy, right?
